Hubby treated me to a wonderful weekend in St. Louis for my birthday. After checking in to our hotel suite, we went on a Riverboat Dinner Cruise aboard the Becky Thatcher - a two-hour cruise down the mighty Mississippi. We dined on Alaskan Pollack and Prime Rib.  Food was excellent.  It was a clear night and the skyline - including the Gateway Arch - was beautiful.

Is there any orginization or person that collects old pictures in Saline Co. I have some old picture of the 30s 40s and 50s ofpeople I believe to be from Saline county.   Myself or none of the surviving family members recognize these people or places. Off we go to the lake for a long holiday weekend.  It saddens me a bit that most people seem to celebrate being off work rather than the intention of the holiday.

I was  my way to Magnolia on I30 around 11 Saturday morning when i saw a Benton city patrolman sitting on I 30 clocking cars  just out side of the city limits.  As I was returning at 11 that night  I saw another officer clocking cars out past the Saline river bridge. My question is why are city officers  clocking cars and issuing tickets on I-30 instead of patrolling the streets of Benton. Just a thought
