I've got the sweetest husband in the world, I'll bet!

Last Monday, I had a mild case of the sniffles. My husband had fixed me lunch, so he knew I was feeling a touch under the weather. When I got home that evening, he had hot chicken broth and a nice, hot cold and flu aromatherapy bath with candles waiting for me. Afterwards, he made me a hot cup of "Sleepytime" tea.

The next morning, my head was all cleared up and I was even more in love with him! {{{sigh}}}

Ladies, may you find yourselves as blessed!!!

Good times....

Friday (January 22) was our Pastor's son's 13th birthday party. Mischievious little boys like to have their fun. He had so been wanting to roll a house, but of course, he had been told, "We don't do that." So, my husband, who plays a fatherly-sort of role in the boy's life told Pastor to take him and his birthday buddies to our house and let them have some fun.

I really didn't think it would happen, but Saturday morning, I opened our curtains and found billowing white toilet… Continue

Tip of the month for January---Re-Posted

This was posted on January 6, 2010 at around 6:35pm

I have been thinking a lot about what tip I could put out for January. I came to the conclusion of what it should be after working this past Monday and Tuesday night. With the weather getting really cold check the lights on your cars and trucks. I stopped to young drivers that said their headlights were broken so they were driving around with their high beams on. The lights were not broken the bulbs had blown, it amazed me that… Continue

One Crazy Week

Most of the time, I don’t get to the end of the week completely exhausted. But I’ve had my share of those crazy weeks. And last week was no exception. On the upside, I had a productive week with several tooth extraction procedures, implants, and cleaning treatments. I also got several happy praises from patients, which surely put a smile to the whole team’s face.

But the downside is I forgot my son’s soccer game last Friday. I… Continue

Rough Day at the Bank

So, I am at work today and all day long I am thinking that I need to get to the bank to deposit my husband's paycheck. (He doesn't have access to direct deposit yet, so have to carry it to the bank. Its old fashioned, I know.)

So, my plan is to go to the bank while at lunch. Well, I have a few items that pop up around lunch time that need my immediate attention. Ok, I'll try to take my "lunch" a little late and go then.

Not gonna happen. More things get added to my ever… Continue

I know who I am!!!

Who am I?

I am “the salt of the earth.” (Matthew 5:13)

I am “the righteousness of God.” (2 Corinthians 5:21)

I am His “friend.” (John 3:29, 15:15, Proverbs 22:11)

I am a “member of God’s household.” (Ephesians 2:19)

I am part of a “Holy People,” the “Redeemed of the Lord,” the “Sought After,” and the “City No Longer Deserted.” (Isaiah 62:12)

Kinda blows that “just a sinner saved by grace” idealism out of the water, doesn’t it? “I… Continue

For the "Introduce Yourself" thingy for Shelli -

1. First name or name everyone should address you by:

Real name: Jennifer. One or two times in my entire life I have been called “Jenny.” Affectionately on occasion, I am called “Jen.” My screen name, “LilyBelle” is an ode to my paternal grandmother.

2. In which area of Saline County do you live? Specify north or south of I-30, what city, and general area. For safety's sake, don't name a neighborhood or street address.

Bryant, one of the top 100 places to live… Continue

"Liberty Bowl Heart Attack" Was My Dad

I nearly lost my dad last week. Roger Poole of Bryant had a cardiac arrest after the Liberty Bowl game. His brother, my Uncle Wes, had eight tickets and one wasn’t taken yet, so Dad went. They were thrilled about going with the other family members to Memphis. Who doesn’t like Beale Street blues and barbecue followed by a bowl game with your college… Continue
