Christmas Questions

There is a house that seems to have lights that go to music on Lakeview Drive (I think) in Benton.  We couldn't find the radio station it is connected to or a sign that said which station it was.  Does anyone know?

Also, we were at our annual trip to the courthouse Santa last night, and there was a person in a pink pig costume there.  Does anyone know what that was about?

Thanks!

"Shop With Our Cops" Event Helped 50 Local Children With Christmas Lists (pics)

The Benton Police Department held their annual Shop With Our Cops event Tuesday night. It must have been a sight driving past Walmart in Benton with all the blue lights from police cars out front. I saw several posts on Facebook from people wondering if there was an emergency or a huge bust at Walmart!

Here's a Map of Where You Can and Can't Have a Liquor Store in Saline County

This map was very courteously crafted by Gary Ballard at the Saline County GIS Office as a guide to the public of whereabouts schools and churches are located, and the 1000-foot radius of each. The official measurement will always come from the Alcoholic Beverage Control Division (ABC).

You'd need this information if you are looking to find a location to open a liquor store (or if you are hoping there's not going…

Improv Group Surprises Random Family By Caroling With Big Choir, Orchestra & Dancers

If you've never heard of Improv Everywhere, they are the group of people who practically invented flash mobs. If they didn't invent it, they certainly perfected it. Over the years they have played harmless pranks in public areas, causing a range of feelings somewhere between confusion and hilarity to ensue. I've watched them dress at Best Buy employees, hang out in the store and start helping customers. They also had an event where they went to Home Depot and participants did a…

Gasoline prices in Central Arkansas

Why are our gasoline prices higher than just about anywhere else around us in the mid south region?

According to gasbuddy.com, prices in the Little Rock area are roughly 2.40 a gallon.  Bentonville is running about 2.10 a gallon, Memphis is 2.10 or so, Tulsa is 1.99, Shreveport is 2.15, Jonesboro is 2.20, St Louis is 2.15, Texarkana is 2.15......traditionally, this area is usually about the same rate as the areas mentioned.....?????    what is going on ???
