- I found something on the net that Bassets are good raccoon dogs. We have a part basset mix that would be a good hunting dog for your Dad. I'm disabled so when I sell a puppy it helps with our bills. I can not work. The puppies do not have papers, sorry. God bless you and yours too. I will tell you trick to keep your dogs in the yard.
