I moved to Benton in 1982 from Indiana. My late husband, David Whitfield, founder and owner of Whitfield Appliance Service, grew up here. His father and sister and his extended family still live here. I teach at Pine Haven Elementary in Bauxite and attend church at New Song Community Church in Salem. Our son graduated from Bauxite High School in 2008 and our daughter will graduate this year.
