Wal Mart shopping etiquette

Posted on January 17, 2009 at 8:00pm 11 Comments

Just sitting here reading my notes for my sister-in-law's truck driver training booklet, and the word dipstick sticks out to me. Now she of course is referring to an engine however my mind automatically travels back to my latest trip to Wal-Mart and the "dipsticks that are encountered". Rule #1 never go shopping when emotional, hungry, and or irritated. Especially not when encountering more than one of those emotions at a time. Why? Dipsticks. I was doing all good until encountering the… Continue

Don't Forget to Remember

Posted on October 2, 2008 at 5:49pm 0 Comments

Forgive and Forget….Move on forget about it…These are words we often hear in our lives over hurts and pains that we experience. But is it really the best advice we can give.

Why is it that we have a “forgive and forget” mentality on our everyday lives but its ok to remember the big stuff? Remember the Alamo…We will never forget (911)….

It’s often been said that those who do not learn from history are destined to repeat it. We often think of history in terms of war and… Continue

Doggie Survivor Southfork

Posted on September 25, 2008 at 12:01pm 3 Comments

So, I will give you the contestants and you tell me who should be the Southfork Survivor winner.

Contestant #1

Daily Psalm

Posted on September 24, 2008 at 6:50pm 9 Comments

Well, I have started reading a Psalm daily and maybe someone can get the inspiration and encouragement that I have been getting.

Going through a recent divorce it seems I have a daily need to call and to go and yell "Show me something." Finances have stunk this paycheck and worries mount up. I think of what I can't do or can't go to or can't buy and let it all became the "I can't" instead of looking at the I have. Psalm 16 has quite a few tidbits that slapped me in the face and told… Continue

Save Money on Groceries

Posted on September 22, 2008 at 4:17pm 5 Comments

Who doesn't want to save money on groceries? Angelfood Ministries is a food ministry available to anyone nationwide. It is a program that offers you about $60-$70 worth of groceries for $30. It is not old or outdated or damaged. We get it from distributors just like Wal-Mart or Kroger does. There are no qualifications. Rich or poor alike can buy it and do. I try to get one each month. The menu rotates each month and there are also specials on chicken tenders, steak, etc. that you can add on.… Continue
