Hi Jane,
Unless I'm wrong you are new to Mysaline. Things in the "main room" do get a bit rowdy from time to time. Stick around, it will get better.
In the meantime, there are a great number of group forums here on a wide range of topics. (Groups can be found as a submenu under 'people' at the top of the page) They exist without the drama you find so unpleasant. Perhaps you can find one that interests you? I sometimes post to the Gardeners (link) forum. Stop by, if you have an interest along those lines.
