I have great respect for those who go past sympathy, to volunteer, train, and do the real work of serving others. Thanks for posting this, Jackie.

CASA stand for Court Appointed Specia Advocate
What is CASA and what do we do?
We recruit and train volunteers (everyday people) who live in Saline County to advocate for abused and neglected children.

We believe that all children have the right to a home with loving people to care for them. But each year in the United States, children are abused, neglected or abandoned by their families. They are removed from their homes and placed in foster care or institutions. Eventually, they end up in
court. Their only “crime” is they have become victims. It is up to the judge to decide their future.

Should they remain in foster care, be reunited with parents, or be adopted? Many times these children are lost in an overburdened child welfare system that sometimes cannot pay close attention to each child whose life is in its hands.

That is where CASA comes in. CASA volunteers are the only volunteers that are appointed by a judge and empowered to stand up for an abused or neglected child in court.

Volunteers are the very foundation on which our movement is built and remain the most effective and efficient mechanism to serve the greatest number of abused and children.

With case loads growing each day, there simply are not enough trained volunteers to go around. When you take on a case, you take on a child's future. We need your help to meet this growing need..

Hey Shelli,

I think it is great you are getting a booth at Sparks in the Park. It is a fun event and benefits a great cause. I will send you the booth information.

Jack Sparrow and Crew will be at Sparks this year!!!
We are using a Jack Sparrow impersonator and we are even trying to build a temporary ship for the kids to play on.

I did not have a contract. I do know who the short little guy is that either owns it or supposedly runs it...... Once I find out more from the Better Business Bureau, I'll post it on here! I'm sick of companies trying to take advantage of others and…

Chuck Matthews A tax for a 'fairplex'? There's already way too much of my money being wasted! If we could get back just 10% of what the State of Arkansas WASTES on BS for CFO's, CEO's and Directors for Divisions of DHS, we could build a 'fairplex'…
