Humane Society of Saline County is hosting a Low Cost Shot Clinic on August 7, 2010. DVM Stacy Johnson will be the vet giving all the shots that day from 1:30 to 5:00 pm for just $10.00 per shot.

- How much the Humane Society of Saline County has changed in the past couple of years. This small shelter has undergone MANY changes and now helps the community by hosting low cost spay/neuter clinics, shot clinics and has many WONDERFUL animals available for adoption.

My son wants to do some volunteer work over the summer. He is 15 in August. I was wondering if you could use his help at the Humane Society? He knows it will be mostly cleaning work. My daughter helped with the Bryant Dance Team and really enjoyed it.
Let me know. If so, what days and times do you need the most help?

Yes, I'm President of the Humane Society and glad that have been able to offer low cost services to so many people who otherwise would not get the health care their animals need.
Glad your daughter's dance team is coming to help. We have traditional done this clinic during Be Kind to Animals Week, earlier in May, with the ROTC. However, we had too many other things going and the vet wasn't available then.
Can't wait to see ya!

I see you are with HSSaline. My daughter's dance team is volunteering this coming Saturday to help with the shot clinic. I will look for you and say hello.
We took advantage of one of the spay/neuter clinics and had our cat spayed. They did a wonderful job and I was so gratefull it was available to us. By the way, Evie is great. It has been a pleasure talking to her and getting the volunteers set up for this weekend. You all are doing a great job and are a wonderful asset to our community.

Nikki is fine but has some thinning hair on her sides Linda told me. I have not see her though. So not sure what to make of it or how bad it would be. She has a small privacy fenced yard when outside, and their home is really nice. But I don't get to Sherwood often since Jimie passed.

- Ann, I took some newspapers and cans by yesterday. I was wondering if we could not get Wal Mart to allow some of those big bins set up in the back of that lot behind Dizzy's for those things. It would be much more convenient and I believe would get better response.
Nikki is fine. She is still a fatty and chow hound but I try to watch her. I only give them a certain amount a day, but I believe she take some of others when I am not looking. She is out all day and has no access to food but when I get home and bring her in, she does. She and Shiloh were running and playing yesterday after I mowed, so she is getting exercise.
I was wondering if you have a male dog clinic day. My grand brought me a Poohauhau and he is a stud muffin. He needs fixed. He loves Emma.
I never miss an election. If you are on my ballot you will have my vote.
