Thelma Edwards Poole said… I do believe that Bryant has a lot of insufficiencies in the hardware side of the water and sewer department as well as Central Ark Water rate hikes. The Bryant rate hikes have been to keep pace with the needs for building a new tower and repairing pumps, etc. Bryant has doubled its population in the last 15 years. The old infrastructure just would not work for the current populace. So, the city has turned to Arkansas Natural Resources for funding (at least partially). In order to obtain funding, the rates have to be enough to pay back the notes. Is that not what I got from the council meeting, Adrian?
