In-depth technical investigations, including detailed recorded statements, which address complex legal concepts, of injured employees, supervisors and witnesses.
Daily interaction with claimant/plaintiff attorneys, defense attorneys, physicians, nurses, rehabilitation providers, pain management professionals, Entergy leadership at all levels, Entergy safety groups, Legal Services, Human Resources, Entergy¿s excess insurance carrier(s), etc.
Respond to inquiries from State Dept of Labor Commissions with accurate oral/written answers, accurate computations, time sensitive paperwork filings.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business or Insurance, with a minimum of five (5) years workers compensation claims handling experience (Utility claims handling a plus). Knowledge of workers compensation processes and practices, as well as an understanding of insurance liability. Exceptional customer service skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Self motivated and self starter with proven record of workers compensation claims handling success. Project management and problem solving skills. Strong negotiation skills. Ability to present claims, safety and risk related material to groups, often consisting of supervisors, managers and executives. Proven record of working and driving safely. Master¿s degree and/or insurance industry Property & Casualty designations/certificates preferred.
