Salineoween 2010
Yes, I know it has been less than a month since we held the inaugural Salineoween benefit festival for Within REACH, but we're already planning for Salineoween 2010. There are all sorts of details that go into producing an event that you would never think of, and we started early for 2009, but we're starting even earlier for 2010.
That said, we could use some help in a couple of ways from people in the area.
1. We're looking for people who are one or more of the following:
-CREATIVE for ideas involving activities, marketing, scheduling, and more
-CONNECTED to the community for getting things done and keeping it local
-DEPENDABLE for being there when you're needed
-COMPASSIONATE to know that you're someone's hope
If you see yourself in any of the above description, and you believe you have something to offer to help, please come to one of our meetings, or contact us at the info below.

2. One of the things being considered for entertainment at the next Salineoween is showing a movie in the park. We want to get your ideas for what you think would be a good movie to show. The date would most likely be Saturday, October 30th, so it could be a scary movie, but it could just be a dark or funny movie too. Give us a few titles that would make you want to come, and if you can't think of anything, here's a list to get some ideas.

We will have another meeting in January, though we don't have a date yet. We would love people who can get things done. The planning sessions are actually pretty fun, too. We have spaces open for board members, and the more people who are able to do it, the better it becomes for each member. Please send me an email telling me to add you to our Within REACH group emails. We get a lot done this way since it gives everyone a record, and for some, it's easily accessible from a phone, too. I'm thinking of switching to Google Wave, but we might need a group session for everyone to get used to using it.
