Here's a good article in the NWA Times about what legislative seats are open and who might be in the running.

In the 2nd District (central Arkansas), David Meeks of Conway, a Republican, said he intends to challenge Democratic U.S. Rep. Vic Snyder of Little Rock. Meeks has formed a committee to explore the option.

Senate District 22 held by Sen. Shane Broadway, D-Bryant. Reps. Dawn Creekmore. D-Bauxite, and Dan Greenberg, R-Little Rock, said they're thinking about running. Former Reps. Dwight Fite, D-Benton, and Jeremy Hutchinson, R-Little Rock, and former state GOP Chairman Dennis Milligan of Bryant said they are exploring the option, too.

Here are Election Dates and Deadlines from Vote Naturally.
I, (Curt Wilson) am running for Mayor of Shannon Hills. This is a special election. I have already submitted my petition and completed all documents to qualify for a ballot position. The election will be Oct 13, 2009. Should I win this position I will certanily run for re-election for a full term in 2010.
