Comment by Henry on May 3, 2012 at 2:12pm Thanks for the recommendation Kevin. I like King, he has a unique style that I enjoy. I'll have to check that one out. June, you said you read SciFi and Fantasy some. Have you checked out Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series? It's pretty long but it's good. Waiting on the last book to be finished.
Last week I read Stephen King's newest novel, The Wind Through The Keyhole (yeah, I've been on a King kick lately). Though it's technically part of his Dark Tower series, you could read this one without having to read all the others. It stands on its own pretty well. I would recommend it to anyone who loves fantasy with a fairy tale feel to it. Very entertaining, and also very short, by King's standard, at a mere 309 pages. A wonderful little book written in a comic book style (without pictures, of course). Check it out at the Saline County Library.
Hello, everyone. Glad to find a group that still reads "hard copy." At the moment I'm rereading Stephen King's The Stand (the original version that King trimmed 400 pages off of to satisfy his publishers) and I must say it's still as fresh as when I read it 30 years ago. This is the book that led me to suspect that King might be a closet Christian. I would recommend it to anyone who's in the mood for a modern morality fable.
