Sick of all the hate and nasty post
I made a comment under another post but as I thought about it I decided to start my own post. As I said, I have not signed in to MySaline in a long time. I quit coming to this page because I became sick of people bashing other people. Shelli set up this site as a social networking site and when I signed up I had to agree to not say ugly things about other people. I began to see that people felt that the rules did not apply to them. I understand we live in a country where we have freedom of speech, freedom of the press, and many other freedoms. I also know that this country was founded by men who read the Bible and based their laws on that what the Bible said. I don’t believe my God would approve of some of the nasty comments and antics that are being spread on this site. My God teaches that we are to love thy neighbor as thyself, not as they act or behave. Would you want them saying the things about you that you are saying about them? I know that I am far from perfect and at times I may say things that I should not, but I also serve a forgiving God, and I do ask for forgiveness. I know some of the people have had unthinkable things happen to them and my heart goes out to them. I cannot fathom going through some to the things some of you have suffered. I also know they hold a lot of anger and hate because of it but our God loved the people who did bad things also. He came and died on the cross for them just as he came and died for you. They are his children also. He forgave them and I think we should as follow His example. At this time of year where we celebrate his birth, let us remember the reason he was born. He was born to die for you, for me, and for all those that you harbor hate towards. He died to forgive all the sins of all the people. I am calling on all of you (and you know who you are) to give up all the hate and stop trying to stir up trouble. Forgive the people who have hurt you, even though it may be hard. I know this from personal experience. I had a family member do something unthinkable and hurt my daughter so deep that we had to see counseling for her. My first reaction was to grab a gun and go kill this person for hurting my child so deeply. I obviously did not do this but I did harbor hate for a long time. It became all I thought about and it came to rule my life. I became obsessed with it and it made me feel sick. I finally came to the point where I had to turn it all over to God, all my anger, my hate, everything and let it go. Once I did God laid it on my heart to forgive this person. I did not want to but I did and I felt a tremendous burden lifted. I may not care for this person, but I did as God told me and forgave them. So you see I am writing this from experience. Please stop trying to stir up trouble on this site. Remember what Jesus did to those who tried to stir up trouble. If you do not want to stop then go to another web site that has been set up for those who want to bash people but let’s please try to get this site back to what Shelli intended it to be, and not a place of hatred. God is not a God of hate but a God of Love so this Christmas and throughout the coming year let’s try to live our lives and conduct ourselves in a manner that would be pleasing to Him.

Great Post and thank you for reminding us of all we have to ask forgiveness for and gratefullness to whom made it all possible, Our Lord Jesus Christ. I think this sentiment can be applied to all religions and thought processes regardless of rhetoric and don't let anyone stand between you and your beliefs. I am thankful that Jesus did die for our sins and many times we forget in the heat of an argument that he would want us to forgive those who trespass and sin, after all he forgives us when we ask. I have decided that this season, I WILL say Merry CHRISTmas to everyone, not Happy Holidays or Seasons greetings. This is the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ and that is what I will celebrate. If you celebrate the Koran or Budda or no one, I hope you have a great holiday, as for me and my house we will worship the Lord our Father. MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!

thank you for standing for God. Christians have been too silent for far too long. We must stand for God now, as I believe the time is drawing close to the return of Jesus for His children. As we celebrate His birth we also need to celebrate the hope and freedom we have in Him. As for the gentleman that is offended, so sorry about that. I applaud your wife and her post. If there are those who are offended by Christians, perhaps they should move to a Nation that was not founded on Christian principles. We need to remember that in Christmas, Christ comes first...
