What questions would you like to ask candidates who are running in the Primary Election?

Please give generic questions that I can give to every candidate, but...
also one or two questions for candidates in the same race. (In other words, all candidates for the same office would be asked the same question.)

Well so far I'm appalled that there have been 50+ views of this post and ZERO questions asked of the folks that will be running things in your county. And yet, if you look at some posts about people already in office, it's comment after comment after comment.

Stop waiting for the fire to start. Let's throw some questions in the ring. The candidate will actually be asked these questions, and we need to get it to them before early voting begins. Don't let us all down by holding back on this point.

If you're not educated on the duties of the offices, let's find that out. If you don't know about the peoples' background, let's find that out. Doggone it, there are nearly 2500 members on this site. Do any of you vote? Gimme some questions.

ask the county clerks running if they will retain the current staff or fire them.

The people would like to know more about the 3 lawsuits against Dennis Milligan and why his office is eager to settle out of court on one using taxpayer funds.

Just to be sure, did you mean the Circuit Clerk candidates?

For each of the incumbents, I would like to know this:

1.  What qualifications do you feel you have that make you the best person to retain this position?

2.  What achievements have you accomplished that have bettered Saline County?

3.  What do you hope to accomplish in your next term if you are re-elected?

For the challengers:

1.  What qualifications make you a better candidate for this position than the current incumbent?

2.  What will be some of your first actions if you are elected to the position?

3.  What do you see as the most urgent issues regarding the office that you aspire to be elected to?

the county clerks, since Mr. Burton is not seeking re-election.

question for all incumbents.  How many people did got let go when they took office?  Was the firing necessary?  Explain why these employees could not work for a different department instead of termination.

Doug Curtis and Kime Eubanks are running for his position, is that correct?

The candidates should definitely describe the duties of the positions to which they hope to be elected, the goals they have for their time in office if elected, how they intend to meet those goals, and what experiences qualify them for the post.

Duck Bill addresses a legitimate question that I've heard voiced by other constituents but  should not be limited to the County Clerk candidates.  I think the constituents employed by the county will want to be assured that decisions made regarding hiring, termination, promotion, or demotion are based on merit, not politics.

yes

Constable  didn't  make  it  on  here   for   Township  1   Glenn  A  .  Thompson   R      Gordon  Hall  R    Paul   Viner  R    and   Shane  Yarberry  R

I would like to know if all the candidates are going to treat the job as a full time job? I know some of them own their own business si I would like to ask those candidates how they plan on balancing their obligations to the taxpayers job with their own private companies.
