I remember blasting these things off way back in the '80s. I'm sure they would be considered offensive or dangerous now.

 

But my favorite toy of the '80s had to have been the 'Sit-and-Spin'. And I DID NOT HAVE ONE.  I asked numerous times for one for Christmas or for my birthday, but for some unknown reason, I never got one. I had friends that had 'em, and I loved them. Come to think about it, maybe it had something to do with me being such an accident prone kid...not that I've grown out of that little characteristic. Anyway, what other cool toys do you remember from back in the day?

We were very fond of our Erecter Set, Tinker Toys, Lincoln Logs, AND Light Bright... all demonstrating how patient and generous our parents were, and that they probably always wore shoes in the house, so as to avoid all the tiny parts my brother and I would inevitably leave on the floor.
I used to love those. Funny I was just thinking about them the other day. I loved the Etch-a-Sketch and Rubiks Cube. I still own both of them.

I always loved those lemon skips - I am sure they were fairly cheap but man how I loved it!

 

I also love my Monchichi twins!

I remember my brothers having those metal Lawn Darts before they were removed from the market!!  It's a wonder one of us didn't end up with one sticking out the top of our head!!
