Let's Go Eat - October 2008
We had a good time eating Greek and talking about everyone that wasn't there this time. Yes, you - we definitely talked about you. Actually, I think the only non-present member who came up in conversation was Lee. The question I get: "Where the heck is Lee?" I saw we bombard him with messages. What the Lee?
On to the October event. I have this idea to do a BBQ/Potluck Picnic in the park and have our dear political candidates talk and take questions. Anybody hip to that idea? I'm thinking the afternoon of Saturday, October 18th. There are events scheduled on the other weekends.

Remember there will be political debates at the Royal again on Oct. 20 and 21. They don't take questions from the audience though as far as I remember.

Yep, I'm looking forward to the Political Forums. My motivation for doing this was - as you referred to - the audience questions thing. I think I'd like to have people write their questions down and have one person read off the questions. If there are just too many questions, we can weed through them and pick the most relevant ones. I was thinking we might do a little MySaline talent/lack of talent show as well. I already know of some musicians who are going to be interested, but I'd like to see some novelty acts too. Can anybody juggle or whistle through their nose or balance throwing stars on their nose?

Well, I don't know - can you juggle?
I was thinking that we could start setting up to grill around 3pm and then we'll be eating around 430 or 5pm and start the "show" at 6pm.
I'm gonna need somebody with a sound system and lights and some people to help me get things done.

Ok, allow me to be the first "politician" to commit to this gig. I agree that open questions is a great way to get to know the candidates. Also, let me know what to bring meat wise and i will help furnish the main course! I know a lot of you out there figure chewing on me is the real dinner treat!

I regret to say that I can not make this function. They are having a rendezvous at Pinnacle Park and there will be a bunch of us wagon burners "er" indians "er" native americans dancing. Someday I will probably get to go to one I hope.

I'm going to try to leave work a couple of hours early on this Saturday morning and get some sleep so I can stop by before I head back to work Saturday night. Seems like there are tons more members since the last event I got to attend. I'm also working on getting Renee to come out.
