Earthquakes, tidal waves, infernos and unforgettable songs from the 1970s take center stage in Broadway’s side-splitting homage to classic disaster films. The Royal Players will host auditions for Disaster! on Tuesday June 25th at 6:30 at the Royal Theatre, 111 N. Market St. This production will be directed by Justin Pike, with music direction by Christian Waldron.
Disaster! is a new musical straight from Broadway, featuring some of the most unforgettable songs of the ’70s. “Knock on Wood,” “Hooked on a Feeling,” “Sky High,” “I Am Woman” and “Hot Stuff” are just a few of the scintillating hits in this hilarious musical comedy with a book by three-time Emmy Award nominee and SiriusXM Broadway host, Seth Rudetsky, and Jack Plotnick.
Those auditioning will be asked to sing one minute of a pop or rock song from the 70s. All roles are open to auditions. We are asking older teens, men, women, and one youth actor. We reserve the right to cast a young adult/teen in the youth role if they look age appropriate.
Performance dates will be August 15-18 and August 22-25.
