The National Weather Service in Little Rock issued the forecast statement below. In Saline County, there’s a slight chance of rain today and a high of 40F, rain chances increase tonight and the low is around 37F.
We are still looking for a light wintry mix of precipitation Friday night (January 11th) into Saturday morning (January 12th). A major winter storm is not in the forecast at this time.
Any accumulations of snow (less than an inch) and ice (up to a tenth of an inch) are expected over the northern two to three rows of counties in Arkansas.
Given temperatures around freezing to perhaps a little above freezing, there could be patches of ice/snow on some roadways.
No major travel impacts are expected. If you are travelling north of the state, there will likely be heavy snow in parts of Missouri and Illinois. Accumulations could exceed a half foot in places.
